Multi Channel
I would like to activate 18 independent channels, but in the Windows dialog box limited to 8 (7.1), is it possible to use 18?
Right out of the box it's not supported. In theory it's possible to patch minwave.cpp and recompile the driver to allow for more channels and then patch the receivers. What's your use case? Maybe there is a more practical solution.
Yes, I want to test using my Behringer XR18.
My brother owns an XR18. I used it only once in my life so my experience is very limited but I can ask him to let me use it. He use it on linux with XAir and Jack. Anyway, as far as I know the unit can be controlled over the network with XAir but the audio is not transmitted there, only the control commands. If you connect the unit via USB the PC see a sound card with 18 channels in and 18 out. Is this what you want you are using?
Are you trying to transmit audio from a windows PC with the XR18 to another system or are you trying to use the XR18 in a VM? Can you elaborate a bit on that?
My goal is to capture all 18 channels of the XR18 via USB ASIO, using NAudio (I guess?!), And broadcast them via Scream / UDP (all 18 channel).
Then, the receivers will receive it, and use a custom mixer, where they can choose, from all 18 channels, what they want to hear, and make their own stereo mix.
