installation changes nothing

I've removed relative image links from the readme, it works now. The HACS may still give you a cached version of the page. Make sure to reset your browser cache and select ‘Update information’ from the three-dots menu in the HACS viewer. Then reload the page. The images may appear a bit weird (it seems that HACS viewer ignores scale settings), but at least they’re visible now.
