Update on Device Event

I'm trying to optimize my code so I only update certain fields when my camera reports a change.

This should be a global camera event to tell me the camera has changed, if for instance, I change the Mode, or if I tweak the Advanced Settings, so I can get a signal.

So far I have this:

But my descriptor or my BaseMTPCamera definition is incomplete for some reason. I can't Init the BaseMTPCamera to listen to its event. Is this even the right way to get these events?
