General agreement on the 5/20 call... do not add it now. Let's see what the community thinks. Hold off on `||` too. But general preference for `||` over `+`

I don't know Avro, so I don't know if this applies or not, but one of the reasons we didn't have well-defined CE attributes for some protocol is for forward...

Clearly not required for v1.0 but is this something that someone would like to try to get added during our "spec review" period? Extra docs are always a good thing...
