PayPal max length
I'm not sure if they fixed it, but last time I entered a password generated by 1Password that was too long, it allowed me to change it, but when I tried to login it said that it was wrong.
Maybe worth it to verify it and update accordingly.
Thanks for the note. Feel free to submit a PR if their password rules have changed.
Looks like they fixed it, better :-)
Just created a paypal account with a 24 char long password. I was not able to log in with the password until I removed the last 4 characters.
Paypal seems to simply accept >20 passwords, but ignores anything after the 20th character. This is even worse than not accepting >20 passwords.
That's awful! Feel free to submit a PR with the update.
Not only that, PayPal only has SMS-based 2FA. What are they thinking??
@danehrlich1 there's a hack to use standard 2FA apps (like Google Authenticator), but yet, a hack.
@FezVrasta Where is this documented? I'm interested in using it
https://medium.com/@dubistkomisch/set-up-2fa-two-factor-authentication-for-paypal-with-google-authenticator-or-other-totp-client-60fee63bfa4f
but it looks like it's now supported natively, I have to look into it
Thanks @FezVrasta I just added true TOTP to my PayPal, natively 👍
Do they still block the use of password managers?
I have had a problem using 1Password
