Destroys bookmarks in Firefox, even when just uploading...

First it looked like this tool would really work, but after using it for 2 or 3 weeks, it destroys bookmarks in firefox 93.0 (64 bit). Even when booksmarks are just uploaded. I've folders from A-Z, but after UPLOADING the bookmarks, suddenly only folders A-F remaining. And because Firefox-syncing is on, it also destroys the bookmarks on other PC. I've deleted BookmarkHub now.

@kuchenmann First of all, thank you for your feedback, I think the problem you are experiencing is most likely caused by a synchronization conflict between bookmarkhub and firefox-syncing. I will optimize the sync feature in the next version and add automatic sync, which may reduce the occurrence of such errors.

Hi @dudor I second this problem. When I clicked "Upload Bookmarks", I was expecting to have the bookmarks I had in Chrome added to Firefox. I definitely wasn't expecting to lose all of the bookmarks I already had in Firefox. Is there anyway to undo this and get my old bookmarks back?

Thanks/

@timfea926 Sorry。did you clicked "download bookmarks" or “removeAllBookmarks” In Firefox? when you click "Upload Bookmarks" in chrome , your bookmarks of chrome will be stored in gist and it can be restored。 this version does not support the function of merging bookmarks, so i suggest you must make a backup before using it. The merging function will be added in the next version.

Hi @dudor I simply clicked "Download Bookmarks" and all my original Firefox bookmarks were replaced with the ones I had uploaded from Chrome. I was disappointed to lose all my Firefox bookmarks, but it's not the end of the world.

Definitely a very bad decision to put "removeallbookmarks" exactly below the rest options. Ofcourse, I accidentally pressed it and I deleted all of my bookmarks. Thankfully there is an option in Firefox to restore them back. (sorry, I don't remember how guys). However, synchronization, moving that "removeAllBookmarks" options and a history of changes (and restore them) should be implemented soon. It is a very good tool in general, but these weaknesses damage the reputation. Cheers
