Continuous scolling of search results anchor to bottom with search bar 'cursor point' pushed and held to far right edge.

On 04-07-2021, I enter this unquoted phrase, "describing computable functions", into duckduckgo search bar and was presented with an unexpected anomoly. The search results scrolled on and on and on until stopping at the bottom of the final page. When I attemed to use the scroll bar on the right edge to return to the top, the program refused and return to the bottom like a heavy anchor. Duckduckgo is my home page, so I clicked on the home symbol next to the reload current page symbol and found the cursor to the far right edge of the seach bar. Eventually, by clicking on the reload current page symbol several times the cursor finally returned to the left edge of the search bar and I continued with just "computable functions". Sorry I was unable to reproduce the result when attemping to duplicate the prior event.

Any ideas on why this anomoly arouse?

I discovered that the issued described above was due to a bug in my OS. Sorry for the inconvience or work that this has caused anyone.
