[Bug] <Home Screen Widget is not Working>

Describe the bug

ISSUE :

• When user clicks on "Home Screen Widget" in Settings , it is not working

How to Reproduce

Go to '.Settings from homepage'

Click on '.Home Screen Widget'

See error

Expected behavior

It should take user other screen so that user select the Home Screen Widget
or Once user clicked on the Home screen Widget in Settings a "search Widget should be applied to Home Screen"

Environment

- DDG App Version: 5.173.1 mc (51731000)
- Device:Vivo v7 
- OS: android 8.1.0

I've tested this on several devices, and it's working as expected (Samsung, Pixel and OnePlus). We think it might be related to the Vivo launcher or any custom launcher you might have installed.

1. Would you be able to confirm which launcher you are currently using?
2. Would you mind recording the interaction for us to further investigate the issue?

Hi @nalcalag Here is the more detail about the Issue 1.I am Using the Vivo default Launcher only 2.Here is the video recording of the issue in Vivo V7(Android 8.1.0)

Surprisingly, I have found the same issue in my friend's mobile which has following :

• DDG App Version: 5.174.0 mc (51731000)
• Device: Redmi Note 10S
• OS: android 13

Actually , Now the issue has became more interesting for me Hope It Helps :)

Tested the same on pocom2 pro/redmi note 9 and found the same issue . I am using the latest DDG (5.198.0). When clicked on homescreen widget , no response/change in screen.

update: The playstore version is not responding on clicking the homescreen widget button whereas, the duck duck go opensourced github project compiled by android studio on my phone has the homescreen widget button running !!!!
