Need Help Setting it up with an ESP 32 S3
Hi i am trying to build an emulator from "scratch" with a friend for a school project and would really appreciate some help . I am planning to use the following: ESP 32 S3 Dev Kit Tactile Buttons SD Card Slot 3.3V ILI9341 SPI Serial TFT LCD Display 3.2" 8 Ohm 1 Watts Speaker Please let me know if i forgot anything or need anything further(we are designing the pcb and case ourselves) Also do you know if there is a "beginner" tutorial on how to set it up, yk bind the buttons and wire the components(we are pretty good at overall electronics and soldering, just no experience in emulators or with esps). Please share any tips or mistakes to avoid. Really big thank you and i hope for some answers...
You will need an I2S DAC if you want sound (and possibly also an amplifier, depending on the DAC you choose). Also make sure that whatever S3 module you choose contains PSRAM.
I don't have any tutorial to recommend per se but you can browse the supported devices: https://github.com/ducalex/retro-go/tree/dev/components/retro-go/targets, many have links to schematics or build logs that you can draw inspiration from.
