[Feature Request] Port ZX Spectum to Retro-Go (ESPectrum)

Open Maverick-Shark opened this issue 8 months ago • 1 comments

Hi,

I can imagine that it's not an easy task, but it could be awesome for Retro-Go.

Now, another team from Spain has developed ZX Spectrum for ESP32, you can see his work at:

and

Thanks and best regards, Shark

I agree, retro-go needs more 8bit computers.

ESPectrum is an impressive project but, ironically, the fact that it's developed and optimized specifically for the esp32 and VGA could make things more complicated because they likely take advantage of freertos and esp-idf and esp32 hardware features that could interfere with retro-go.

Still entirely doable, of course, and I'd likely accept any ZX emulator if someone is serious about doing the work :)

Related: Porting CPEC was discussed in #177 and the advantage is that it supports many other systems too.
