The textures don't change.

Have you installed any textures? By default, only the Kerbal heads are installed (you can see them in game, but not in the astronaut complex screen). If even this doesn't work, you might not have installed it correctly (I recommend you using CKAN rather than installing the mods manually).

Then why do you have HD Duna and Kerbin textures, showing in your discription?

Why isn't the Kerbin Planet Texture mod not working, even with this installed?

You have to install texture packs separately. Only one Kerbal head pack is included by default.

Some older texture packs are in different format and are not compatible with the later versions of TextureReplacer. Texture packs for other TextureReplacer-like plugins (some forks) are also not compatible with TextureReplacer. See the README and fix texture names and directory structure accordingly, if this is the case.
