Pop3 doesn't do anything

Hello,

does anyone have an idea, why doesn't pop3 email grabbing work, with the usual settings that I use with every other service like Thunderbird mail program?

Also, logging doesn't do anything, so I have no idea what is the problem with the pop3.

Also, how could you test pop3 functionality, like the smtp settings can be tested?

Any help appreciated.
