on the second - commenting

I think it would be a unique feature for the video player page if there would be a function to comment on a specific frame of the video.

That would engage to write more comments and it would be cool and easier to relate to something in the video. There was / is a functionality like this on soundcloud and I really like that idea to comment in the second I am commenting on.

I never saw a videplayer capable of doing this.

The comments with a timecode in the related json-file gets displayed when the video is exactly in this frame of the video. 30-10-_2018_17-00-25

That'd consume tremendous amount of additional storage space in case of huge number of comments. The idea is good, but stability and speed are more important features right now, I think.

Would that be really a case of too much storage needed? I think for this the metadata of the comment can be used easily to store the second.

I know you have many other things to develop but I would really love to see this feature some day. Add a little timestamp within the comment object and highlight the comment somehow when this timestamp is reached. That would be so freaking awesome!

Now that we have Avalon, timestamps can be mentioned in the usual comments then we could potentially create a mongodb query to get comments by timestamp
