Multiple lists
Please make it possible to use multiple shopping lists. Thanks
I'm currently working, very slowly, on the introduction of a system of tags and filters. It would emulate multiple lists, but would actually be a sort of multiple configurable views on a unique list. I think it would be ok for many use cases.
If it fails to fulfill yours, we will perhaps go a step further. Stay tuned. (But don't be in a hurry.)
Good to hear, thank you. :-) I'll give it a try and think tags and filters would do the job fine. It would be fine for my use-case if one item can have multiple tags. I think then it would be possible to use one list as "separate" shopping lists for home, office, holiday and so on. Another question, are you planing tags for e.g. quantity, price, unit, shop, person, notes ? Thanks again and keep going on.
Yes, an item can have more than one tag. Tags would entirely be named by the user, so their semantic field would depend on his needs. For example, I imagine for myself locations (supermarket, grocery), circumstances (presents, urgent actions) or kind of objects (books, food).
I like Trolley except for a couple of minor things, and thought a shopping list app would be a good first Android project for me. Basically I intended to write exactly what you've done with ShoLi (once you've implemented tags) :-)
On one hand I hate to reinvent a perfectly fine wheel, but on the other I need a simple first Android app to work on...
Hi icewater. I'm sorry I cannot take the time to implement this at the moment. But if you like Sholi as it is, you could fork it and propose something on your own. We can discuss about it if you want. That's still better than writing yet another complete tool. ;)
Hi, I came here for suggesting the multi-shop feature (the only feature I am missing), but I saw that it has already been asked. How is the work going?
Thank you.
Hi Muentzer.
I'm sorry Sholi is not at the top of my priorities for now. The development for this feature has been started but is far from finished. If someone is eager to take care of some new features like this one (or bugs), I will happily take the time to discuss the current project status with him.
Thanks for your interest.
