Incorrect IP when using "*" records

In a configuration where the "" is correct but the root "@" record is incorrect, it will retrieve @.<domain.com> as the IP of the (correct) "" record, and will not update the root record.

The workaround is to (a) update the "*" record last for each domain or (b) use force update.

Turns out before everything broke because of email 2FA, you could do this with "@" I found out. But also TIL that creates a NEW host record it does not edit the existing ones. Just deleted 1,800 A records 🫣.
