package does not work in new files.

A file has to be saved before double-tag can be used.

So in order to use double-tag, I need to do the following:

1. create a new file
2. save it as html file
3. close that file
4. open it again

Simply saving does not work.

Just encountered this - super confusing when I created a new test file to see if the plugin was working.
