Ok, so I believe there was a pr that pretty much fixed the assembly issues in newer versions of 1.1dev. The parts have to be designed and assembled in 1.1dev...

This issue is improved in 1.1dev, it just loses reference every single time you make a change.

Also it looks like there is a TNP issue that is related to https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/issues/14595
