Installing package in R in Linux(Ubuntu)

How to use this package in R if installed in Linux (Ubuntu)? Also when I tried following command in R for installation it gives me error as timeout.

> install_github("drsimonj/ourworldindata")
Error in curl::curl_fetch_disk(url, x$path, handle = handle) : 
  Timeout was reached
