this is not something I am planning to implement, however, Drone is launching support for custom runners. The community will have the ability to create a custom runner for podman. We launched our first custom runner yesterday (at drone-runners/drone-runner-exec) and we will publish guidelines and starter projects for creating custom runners in the coming weeks.
