[alarm] can not get clipboard to work (omg, my copy-paste is broken)

In a fresh install of alarm with cli-extra,extension,x11, I fire up xinit and try

$ xclip -selection clipboard -o

This produces no result, whatever is copied to the clipboard on Chrome side. Consequently, I can not paste anything in chroot.

The Chrome crouton integration extension is installed and runs and is happily connected to alarm on :1 display.
