Basic usage issue

Hi I am getting really pretty forms using the iCheck plugin but it is hiding my checkboxes and radio buttons from the form in the browser so those fields never get passed to my action script. I presume I am making a pretty basic error here. I am using a bootstrap theme. What am I missing?
