Help wanted: Can you run `sysctl net.ipv4.ping_group_range` (it only reads the value) and report it together with your distribution and its version? Data on Android phones would be welcome, too.

Since you already have the git checked out, could you try version 1.12.0? Python 3.11 is rather old for my standards, maybe no one ever tested.
On the other hand this looks like the issue that was actually fixed in 1.12.1, are you sure that you are running 1.12.1? (See the about dialog)
