You haven't shown us what's in the hidden icon portion of the tray. The show/hide settings for each icon in the tray in RetroBar are separate from those settings for the Windows taskbar. Don't write the Wi-fi icon off as MIA just yet, and adjustments can be made in Properties--> Taskbar tab --> Customize. Click_Here

I can confirm that the wifi icon is missing. I do not see an option to enable it. My wifi is connected and working

Indeed, that is the current situation I am experiencing.

In fact, I do not see it at all, except when not using RetroBar.

I am also having this issue; it was working for a bit and then broke all of a sudden, I hope this gets fixed in the next update

I think it is related to the fact that Windows 11 merges the WiFi/Volume/Battery button to one large pseudo-button. If you click the Volume button in RetroBar, do you get the Windows11-flyout menu that includes WiFi?

Would still be nice to see WiFi status also in RetroBar though...

It used to be there, and then it's no longer here. Please re-add if possible.

Unfortunately this icon was removed in Windows 11 24H2. Currently the easiest way to re-add it is reverting to 23H2 or earlier.

Any chance of this being re-added in 24H2? Can't exactly revert. :/

I can confirm this solution works and I am running Windows 11 24H2
