retrobar not always showing live temps of crystaldiskinfo in the taskbar on the bottom right?
The live drive temps of crystaldiskinfo in Retrobar taskbar notifications (where the volume is usually situated on the bottom right) don't always show. It only happens with Retrobar, so it must be a compatibility issue with crystaldiskinfo's live icons. Retrobar is using default themes. Note: it happens when crystaldiskinfo has started up before retrobar.
If you haven't already done so, try this... In RetroBar's "Customize Notifications" dialog, find the setting for CrystalDiskInfo's drive temperature icon and click on the drop-down control in the "Behavior" column. Change from the default "Hide when inactive" and set it to "Always show" instead. The criterion used by RetroBar (or Windows) to determine active status for the program associated with any given icon may not be entirely reliable, but setting it to "Always show" might make the difference and give you the constant display you want.
Thanks for the reply. It seems to be working now. I have done as you mention, and also turned off fast startup in windows. After a shutdown and power on, cystaldiskinfo is loading up within retrobar without issues. I use retrobar together with openshell.
The only thing I have noticed as a potential glitch in retrobar (or windows) is that the volume icon doesn't always show in the same notifications area, although this is rare, but I can make it appear easily by pressing the custom volume button on my keyboard.
