Support for multiple monitors

Open GrzesYT opened this issue 7 months ago • 5 comments

It would be great if RetroBar could support multiple monitors — for example, showing the taskbar on all screens or allowing the user to choose which monitor it appears on.

This feature would help users with dual or triple monitor setups, as currently RetroBar only appears on the primary monitor.

Thank you for the great work on this project!

I just installed RetroBar a few minutes ago on my Win10 machine. I can drag the bar to different edges of my main monitor, but I can't drag it to a different screen. There IS the option to show on multiple displays, but i don't want to display 5 task bars (5 monitor setup), I want one task bar on my non-primary display.

(The intent is to see if I can install this on my Win11 work machine, and what it might need, or if I can get it going without additional installs since I don't have admin access on it)

I also want to have the taskbar only once on my non-primary display.

Most fullscreen programs/games can only go fullscreen on the main display and I don't want these to hide my taskbar.

On my main computers, the monitor layout is 1-2-3, where 2-3 are double fullscreen for a VM and 1 is used for the host. I then want the taskbar to always be visible and therefore on 1, but double fullscreen only works if 2 is the main display.

This looks like a duplicate of #487 by the way.
