Additional information

Steam has version 1.2 of the game, which does not support many configurations. Besides going linux native, version 1.3 from bitbucket adds a lot of features like ultrawide support.

AFAIK, Daikatana is not open-source (or even source-available). It is noted in their repository:

As we unfortunately can't release the source-code of Daikatana, it's not available here.

That's curious, because the Daikatana 1.3 files that I downloaded come with the lgpl 2.1 license with it. That's why I said LGPLv2. This is the file I downloaded: https://bitbucket.org/daikatana13/daikatana/downloads/Daikatana-Linux-2021-12-20-x64.tar.bz2

I think LGPL refers to the linked libraries that are distributed with the closed source binary (but I'm not an expert on licensing)
