Has it been an issue? In my experience, you don't want to interfere. The process may generate small β but continue jusf fine.
I know what they are but I'm saying that β == 0 is not at all the same as β "small".
That's really interesting. It looks like a significant amount of new code... The inevitable question is going to be: how does the performance compare to that of a pure C...

No harm leaving it open. I haven't figured out what's wrong. I'll try with updated versions of Julia and the docker image when I get a chance.
