Project cannot be built because of missing marcotte repository
marcotte is a dependency of boxer but the repo link is now giving a 404, which means we cannot build or use boxer anymore.
@dphilla bumping this issue in case you missed it. Boxer was presented at several events (FOSDEM, Wasm I/O...). Many people were interested to test the project but cannot because of this situation.
Yeah, I feel like I'm in crazyland. This guy has posted about this all over and made one of the dependencies private at the same time. I don't get it.
weirdly github still "knows" about links to this project, its like it was public at one point, but isn't anymore.
If it's not going to be public that's fine, but at least note it on the repo because everybody is disappointed that we can't have the new shiny wasm toys 🐼
Hey everyone, sorry for the delay and confusion. Yes, Marcotte was public, but I made it private for a couple reasons, mostly revolving around a massive cleanup operation involved with it. The Boxer project is still in a largely pre-alpha stage at this point, with many features still under development.
In the meantime, I'll likely release a static build with a support matrix, and then in the future, time-permitting, hopefully make it open-source for contributions, etc.
thanks @dphilla this is a suuuper exciting project, and we can't wait to try it out 🥇
The first link at https://github.com/dphilla/boxer/tree/dev/boxhttps://github.com/dphilla/boxer/tree/dev/box points to https://github.com/dphilla/marcotte which is 404 (as OP outlined).
+1 would be great to test it out, even with a static build. I see a lot of development in this area and this seems like a promising contender.
Yep apologies for the delay here -- working at a fast-growing startup along with family responsibilities have delayed my work here -- I do plan to add a static build soon, along with more development on the project overall. Thanks for your patience, and I look forward to your feedback.

@syoung I'm interested -- what other projects are you looking at? There's quite a bit of overlap with some, but less so with others, interested in what your use-case would be :)
