@vsverchinsky yes, and both Fedora and Ubuntu still exhibit the same issue as before: 
The issue appears to be caused by the option "Accelerate 3D Graphics" in the VMware Player.

OK, I managed to reproduce this one on a slower machine. In my case, the no. of samples in the selection should be 8 or less.
Entering a negative value in "Height" is still possible, no error message is shown to the User in this case. Although a track doesn't disappear anymore, it ends up looking...
