planet table : ball may traverse all obstacles at fast speed, even flippers

I enjoy paying the acme planet table, with gravitation effects. But sometimes, the ball acquires high speed, and lane lights dont react when the ball passes in the lanes. Playing about 20 games yesterday, i even witnessed (twice) the ball (moving very fast) traversing one flipper ! Which remained undetected and the game was stuck. Could this be due the the fact that i am using an old tablet (Archos Helium). However, performance in other apps look really good, e.g. VLC playing movies without issues.
