Ingenuity does not modify quality on 3*s

In 3* recipes, Ingenuity and Ingenuity II are not providing the quality bonus that they should.

I've never found Ingenuity to provide the correct bonus in any of the recipes I've used, meaning occasionally the sequences fail if I'm not too careful.

I no longer subscribe to FFXIV and I never did make it to 3* crafting. What is the is the quality bonus that ingenuity should be providing?

If possible please provide examples. e.g. youtube videos or logs showing progress. If there is a forum thread out there that has done research on the gains from ingenuity I could try incorporating that too.

There have been recent improvements to Ingenuity handling, although apparently Ing+CS2 is still not accurate.
