DTA quits working after a while, requires computer restart (not just browser)

Your DownThemAll! and Browser Version and Language and Operating System:

DTA 3.0.8, Waterfox 54.01 x64, English, Windows 10 Pro (version 1703, build 15063.483).

Expected Behavior

Right-click on an image, select a DTA option, then download, or perform other usual DTA functions.

Actual Behavior

After several hours of running Waterfox, when a DTA process is started (for example, right-clicking on an image, then picking a download option), the standard DTA notification pops up that the item has been placed in the download queue. However, the standard DTA progress window does not appear, and nothing happens. The item is NOT downloaded. Also, restarting the browser does not fix this -- the entire computer must be restarted. This has been happening for approx 1 month, so may also have occurred on previous versions of DTA and/or Waterfox.

Sorry, don't have log files yet because I hadn't enabled logging. I have now done so and will post results the next time this happens.

Have you tried clearing your Waterfox profile? Does this also happen on Firefox ESR and on Pale Moon?
