Compilation difficulty--another SML library required

Hi, I had some difficulty getting Alice to compile on my new installation of Linux Mint. Seems the libsmlnj-smlnj library is not included with the Mint repo's package of SML/NJ, and must be downloaded separately. (I found this solution through a Debian user forum, so maybe the problem is common to Debian-based distros?)
