Elements that are supposed to be clipped are still selectable

We use the Clip property in our pagination code so that portions of the UI element can be placed in different pages. From the view-wise, the results look correct. But when we select text from the page, the clipped portions re-appear.
Similarly, when the page is printed using "Microsoft Print to PDF" to save to a PDF file, the same behavior can be seen on the resulting PDF file when it is opened using readers like Acrobat or Edge browser. We select part of the PDF and pasted the copied portion to a Notepad. The pasted text included the clipped items.
