VS2022 doesn't show UI for parameter in my item template

The repo contains a template named TemplateWithParameter which takes a parameter named UseConsole. I added tests to the project showing the parameter itself works. When installing the template using dotnet new install the template becomes available in the VS2022 New Item dialog. Using the template does not show me a way to specify a value for the parameter.

Is this a feature that's not yet working in VS2022?

To Reproduce

Steps:

1. Clone the repo https://github.com/mterwoord/dotnet-new-templates-playground
2. Build the solution
3. Package the Templates project
4. Install the resulting nupkg using dotnet new install
5. Open VS2022, open a solution with a c# project, and create a new item using the "ter Woord Computers" / "TemplateWithParameter" template.

@sayedihashimi I think this is a known limitation of item templates specifically in VS, right? Do we have a Developer Community ticket linked to this for the VS side of things?

Item templates do not support showing any UI for parameters. It's something that we are interested in but it's a low priority at the moment.

Also, is there any alternative UI which does show UI for item templates?
