In the regex prompt, there's a small typo: the carriage return escape sequence should be \r, not \rr.

correct should be: \r

This issue appears in the IntelliSense tooltip for the regular expression string when creating a Regex instance. I’m using a Chinese-language environment.

I just disabled all VS extensions, but the problem persists. When I type “\s”, I can still see this incorrect tooltip.
Yang Xiang on 11/11/2025, 02:21 PM:
The issue occurs with the tooltip for \s, not \r. The hint for \s incorrectly writes \r as \rr.

The bug still exists in VS 2026. I recorded a video that reproduces it effortlessly; the footage ends with all extensions disabled.

Do you have any 3rd party extension installed? This works for me on VS Insiders [11201.2], but the appearance looks different than yours.

This repro under Simplified Chinese language, but not repro under ENU, Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese. This repro in 17.14.21, 18.0.2.
Repro Steps: 1.Change VS language to Simplified Chinese language 2.Create a C# console solution, add regex: var regex = new Regex (@"\s") 3.View the prompt after typing "\s"
Actual: There's a small typo: the prompt return should be "\r", not "\rr"
Expected: This should be "\r".
I opened https://ceapex.visualstudio.com/CEINTL/_workitems/edit/1116514 for this issue.
