".NET 8 SDK Required" message keeps popping up in VS Code even though I have .NET 8 SDK installed
Describe the bug
I have Jupyter and Polyglot Notebooks both installed as VS Code extensions on my Windows 11 machine running WSL2 Ubuntu. When I open a folder containing ipynb files I get the .NET 8 SDK Required message, even though I have the .NET 8 SDK installed in both the base Windows OS and WSL. In Windows the SDK was installed via Visual Studio.

today I got a brand new Macbook from my company, first product of Apple I have ever had. The first thing I installed was VS Code and the very next Polyglot Notebook. I'm getting the same message, despite.NET SDK is installed

It might still be looking for .NET 7. Could you see if installing the .NET 7 SDK causes the message to stop coming up?

It might still be looking for .NET 7. Could you see if installing the .NET 7 SDK causes the message to stop coming up?
I installed the .NET 7 SDK in WSL2 Ubuntu and I'm still getting the message
I just had it come up again today. Tried restarting VSCode a few times but no change. This time doing a sudo apt update/upgrade in WSL (which didn't seem to touch anything .net related) and then restarting VS Code seemed to clear it. Sometimes it seems to be that it's really complaining about the precise version of .net 8.
I'm seeing this on linux as well. The extension is Polyglot Notebooks v1.0.5208010, in VS Code version:
