value kernel syntax highlighting broken?

VS Code Version: 1.74.3 Ext Version: v1.0.3611020 Tool Version: 1.0.360602+9bf026dabac44a6256a65168fa93dcb7e2edcca4

All the text when trying to use the value kernel is blue. It almost looks like it works? I run it and I am asked to enter a value from VS Code's input box and can input a value but this value does not show up in the variable explorer. image
