I was trying to validate fix for https://github.com/dotnet/efcore/issues/32411 in my wider application, however this same problem appears again. I was able to tweak the prevous example to trigger the bug.

The underlying problem here is that CurrentValueComparerFactory.GetComparerType is used even if a comparer is defined on the principal type for the relationship, regardless of whether the types are potential primitive collections, or not. The exception being thrown here is because we try to create an invalid comparer type. Instead, we should be using the comparer type defined on the principal.

A simple workaround is to call HasConversion explicitly on the foreign key property.
