The Offline installer does not exist on the linked download page.
It only gives the web installer-version. Will also open an issue for that, no I somehow can't that doesn't seem to be covered by this.

Hi @alsternerd I think it's actually the offline installer, because it's 200+ mb when downloaded. The URL for it does say web installer though, and I think that's just incorrect.
@mairaw can you double check this? When you go to https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/net35-sp1 the link in the screenshot uses an URL to indicate that it's the web installer, is it actually the offline installer?

The offline installer theory sounds right but I don't know for sure. Also adding @jamshedd who has history in this space.
The link is the offline installer - I do think the page that loads when we click on download 3.5 SP1 should be a page which by its name suggests its the offline installer rather than web. Can this issue be moved to whatever is the right repo for the dot.net website?

The data on these pages pre-dates me but maybe we should look into how the table is built for other versions because it clearly calls out offline installers

@mairaw Should we just close this or do you think there is work to do? I'm fine with just telling anyone who files an issue that it is indeed the offline installer.
