Visual Studio 17.10.6 is causing runtime error - typeError: Promise constructor cannot be invoked without "new"
This issue has been moved from a ticket on Developer Community.
[severity:I'm unable to use this version] I upgraded from VS from 17.10.5 to 17.10.6 on 8/14/2024. My desktop applications compile and run fine. My one Web project generates a runtime error when I try to run it. It runs fine in prior versions of VS.
Type of Web Application: AspNetCore version 7 JQuery MVC Ravor KeenThemes
Error: typeError: Promise constructor cannot be invoked without "new" Location: plugins.bundle.js

Can you provide more details about what template are you using as well as the call stack for the exception that you are observing?
Its looks like your team have identified and fixed this issue in the latest release - 17.11.2.
Why wasn't this thread updated by Microsoft to reflect that fix? I had to install it and see if it fixed it.
FYI, I prevented the error by disabling "Enable Javascript debugging for ASP.NET (Chrome, Edge and IE)"
