Sometimes chrome gets stuck in Verifying "Google Chrome"...
Chrome works Ok here. also Chrome Canary, Chromium, FireFox, Opera, Vivaldi, Brave, and browser.yandex.com Safari realeased a New update yesterday for Cata. v15.5
MacPro5,1 2010
dont know whats the latest Bootrom for Macmini 2011. but for MacPro5,1 2010 is 144.0.0.0.0
Maybe the problem is Graphics HW acceleration... IntelHD3000
Try: A) Disable Chrome HW acceleration, B) eGPU TB2 + Rx 480 or Rx 580 + OSX HighSierra 10.13.1~3 C) the software that allow to switch iGPU to Nvidia or AMD if your Mac has Dual Graphics.
i have: Chrome v103.0.5060.114 Chrome Canary v105.0.5170.0
Maybe you need to Allow to Run SW, in System / Privacy & Security [X] from App Store and Identified Developers.
@juanpc2018 that's NOT a fix. He's having a fundamental launch issue. Stop misleading the OP (although I can see the logic)
@bzuruce I can help. Go to the Patch Updater and try to reinstall "Library Validation Disabler Patch" (Update it is there is an update available.
If that doesn't work, I have more solutions (self signing and an alternative boot.efi patch)
Oh, and you have a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID? Does that work with Catalina?
Here is a issue on the subject: #196
Hi @bzuruce this will be fixed in a future patcher build.
ok thanks!
@juanpc2018 Allowing the app to run is after the Verifying section You need to launch the Chrome app to disable HWA, which only worked for me right now
Also take a look at #237: recent versions of Chrome (e.g. version 120) are not compatible with Catalina Patcher, so you need to block Chrome updates and stay on an older version (for instance, version 111 is working).
