Catalina Patcher fails attempting to unmount disk

Open jbreef opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

While attempting to create a bootable installer of 10.15.7 with 1.4.4 of the patcher I get a failure during the patching image step. The popup window complains about the device requiring at least 10GB of space however the log displays a message the the image device created could not be unmounted because the resource was busy. I initially thought it might be my virus protection software but disabling that software produced the same result. Attached is a copy of the log file. Any help would be appreciated. Same for me when trying to perform an install in place from 10.15.4 to the latest version. I guess a small wait time in the patcher might be able to fix it as I could manually unmount the disk.

Edit: after seeing issue #145 the solution is to disable Sophos anti-virus (more specifically, the thing that scans all files on access). I had to reboot in order to really have it disabled, but then the patcher worked.
