usbipd: error: unable to run 'usbip' client tool

Hi I already know my os version is outdated, but this is what we use at work :(

OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise OS Version: 10.0.19044 N/A Build 19044

I run Debian 12 on WSL2 with the newest self compiled linux kernel 6.1.21.2. The only thing is that the WSL version is so old it does not have the --version option and updating it is currently not possible. Came from https://github.com/dorssel/usbipd-win/issues/915 but no solution to my problem is given. Is there anything that can be done?
