Also, that's something worth putting up front in web and README.md IMHO

The web states 0.17 compatibility.

Well, the current version is written in the front page (go to http://www.doomeer.com/factorio, it says "Current Version -- Recipes were updated for version 0.17!"). Maybe you missed that, or maybe you arrived from one of the forks that are maintained by other users who may not have updated yet?

I can definitely update README.md though.

I was browsing directly in GitHub (IIRC). I see you've decided to put it in the README.md, IMO that file serves to describe what it is, what is it for, version, authors... 👍
