Question about mrbayes block

Open luishdez35 opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Hello, great bioinformatic suite, congrats I have a question, I have my own results from modelfinder (from a cluster), and I want to import those results to PhyloSuite for get the mrbayes block. Can I do that? or I need necessarily to run model finder in Phylosuite in order to obtain the mrbayes block?

Thank you Best

Hi, of course you can do that, there are two ways (choose one of them) to do that:

  1. create a new folder under "ModelFinder_results", and copy your own result files of cluster ModelFinder into this new folder. OR
  2. directly copy the result folder of cluster ModelFinder into ModelFinder_results folder in your PhyloSuite workplace.

Note that if you don't have ModelFinder_results folder in the workplace of your local PhyloSuite, you need to create one.

After the above step, open your PhyloSuite, find the results folder in the interface, right-click to import into into MrBayes plugin, and finally you can get the mrbayes block.

Sincerely, Dong
