Import Lidar Data

Hello. I wanted to ask you if this add on is currently supporting the importation of Lidar Data to generate 3d model from it.

Hello. I wanted to ask you if this add on is currently supporting the importation of Lidar Data to generate 3d model from it.

As far as I am aware, this is not possible using BlenderGIS. However, there are other Blender tools (https://github.com/SBCV/Blender-Addon-Photogrammetry-Importer) that might be able to help with this, as well as other tools like CloudCompare https://www.danielgm.net/cc/ that are dedicated to this task.

i use pdal to convert las to tif, then gdal_translate from tif to asc. Not optimal, but ok for Landscapes
