Would it suffice to say: --- Check [release status](https://status.nixos.org) to get the latest tested commit.
Maybe that should be a reference section on it's own, as there are quite a few ways how to source the git version.
Let's put that in reference instead.

What's missing here to get this merged?
Until Nix 2.4 is released, I'm not supportive of documenting any kind of flakes in tutorials. That's because they are undocumented and too much of a moving target.
I'm wrapping up a big chunk of work, after things settle down I plan to get on flakes!
