The recovery disk of macOS 10.13.1 does not include the IO80211Family.kext and therefore can't be used to restore. The newest beta (2.6b5) will allow you to download a clean version of some kexts and install those, choose one that's closest to yout current version and it should work fine.

@sysfloat I'm getting a syntax error when trying to open 2.6b5.

@namster2k Ooops, my bad pushed an update just now.

@sysfloat I finally got everything working now! I wasn't able to get Continuity to report as inactive, but somehow it started working after I ran Activate Continuity again anyway. Airdrop and Continuity appear to be working fine between my iPhone and MacBook.

One thing I did notice was for Step 3 on the screenshot, you have: 3. enter 'csrutil enable --without-kext'

It should read as: 3. enter 'csrutil enable --without kext'

Aside from that it appears as though everything is working fine.

Thank you again for your hard work!

I downloaded the latest beta, selected the option "6) download legacy kext", and it failed, ending with:

Moving Legacy Kext... NOT OK. An error occured while moving

Press any key to go back to the main menu...

i am getting the same error

I too am struggling with this error on 10.13, can’t uninstall and legacy kext (of all varieties) is erroring on the copy step. Handoff is not working but equally I can’t to go back to the stock settings.

Same issue as @rstankey et al. I think I made the mistake of trying to install with the non-beta, not realizing the download link on the main readme was not the most recent. I think that installer failed to create kext backups, and now I'm in limbo unable to uninstall or install properly.

I had problems uninstalling with the backup-files too because the Read-only FS so a simple "mount -uw /" before running the script did the trick. Macbook Pro 13 (early 2011) Catalina 10.15.7
