Unlock with apple mac watch

Please include the following information.

  • OS Version: MacOS Sierra Beta 10.12.2 (16C63a)
  • Mac model: MacBook (15-inch, Early 2011)
  • Dongle or replaced card?:
  • Used dongle/card: Inateck BTA-BC4B6

Your Issue: It works Airdrop and continuity, but do not exist on my macbook the ability to set the release by apple watch. Sorry for my English, but help me with the translator.

@salvatore1991 I have the same laptop. Unfortunately, it is a limitation of the AirPort card in there. You're going to have to do a card replacement for Apple Watch unlock. Hey guys, I have a TP-Link T9E WiFi card in my Hackintosh which has 802.11a/n/ac on the 5GHz band (ac is what you need for Apple Watch unlock). I think this would mean a BCM20702 USB dongle would enable this feature, but I'm not sure so I just thought I'd ask here to be sure and maybe the devs could reply! Thank you in advance, Dave 😊
